Project 7: Web Page

P7SarahBarrettScreenshot2

  1. Description: This is a website designed to showcase the logo I made.
  2. Process: I made this website by writing code into a simple text editor on my computer. As a freshman Web Design and Development major, I was familiar with the ideas that were used. I’m still far from professional, but I was able to knock out the assignment requirements pretty quick. We were given a pre-coded CSS document, so it was easy to make little alterations to change colors and fonts to what I wanted. I found the colors I wanted by using the “Inspect” option in Google Chrome. It shows all the code for the website and will find the hex codes for colors that are on the page. You can’t see this in the screenshot, but the “my blog” link has an orange background color when you hover over it and the link is white.
  1. Message: That my company sells fun and delicious smoothies that will brighten up your day.
  2. Audience: Smoothie lovers, old and young, who are looking for something fresh and fruity.
  3. Top Thing Learned: The importance of properly indenting HTML and CSS code.
  4. Color scheme and color hex(s): Analogous (#F6D540, #EA008A, #F26922)
  5. Title Font Families & Category: Verdana, sans-serif
  6. Copy Font Families & Category: Times New Roman, serif
  7. Changes made to the CSS: background color; title font, background color and text color; page border color; H2 font color and font, link hover to orange background with white text
  8. Word Count: 324 words
